Risk Management in Organic Grains

Organic grain farming comes with unique risks, and the transition to organic production is even tougher. While farming organic is a good long-term risk management strategy on many levels, transitioning can be a risky endeavor. Organic grain production is a way to begin to rebuild soil, and at the same time, can offer farmers a higher premium for their crops. The Land Connection has held and filmed a series of workshops designed to help farmers understand and manage these risks. These four workshops focus on organic grain production, marketing, and financing. These videos were filmed from July 2016 to February 2017, and contain up to date information from the experts that offer guidance in informed decision making so that your organic grains production can thrive.
