Farmland Match Presently there are few resources that help farmers find land at economical prices. Many of the next generation of farmers are interested in establishing sustainable and ultimately organic farm operations to grow food for local consumption. Conventional farm lease agreements and financing systems today are not designed to support these innovative and emerging farming practices. The Land Connection’s Farmland Match program provides a vital link between farmers and farmland. The Land Connection, which has a proven track record with organic farming and understands it from a cash flow and business perspective, can help farmers and landowners overcome these market, economic, and institutional barriers. The match arrangements are flexible, and may range from purchase, to lease-to-own, to yearly or long-term leasing. The program we are developing is based on the successful model created by Woodbury County, Iowa.
