Do you work with farmers? Do you teach farmer training classes? Would you like to incorporate farm law into your curriculum?
Farm Law is important. Here is why from Rachel Armstrong, lead attorney at Farm Commons.
This workshop will be valuable for:
- Farm educators to receive a farm law curriculum and learn why this needs to be included.
- Professionals who work with farmers and need to be able to help with problems.
- Law students to see the practical matters that farmers need help with.
- Farmers to learn what they are legally protected from and required to do.
Join us for a "train the trainers" event for those who help farmers with legal issues. We will be at four locations across Illinois for this free, full day workshop, thanks to a grant from SARE. The farmers you work with do not have to be based in Illinois for this to be a valuable learning experience.
All workshops will run 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and include lunch.
