The Land Connection invites you to help us celebrate the close of 2023 with a special event during the last indoor farmers market of the year.
Cloud Mountain Kombucha is crafting kombucha and spirit pairings, featuring Silver Tree Beer & Spirits‘ Down East Vodka, Cow Creek Bloody Butcher Bourbon, and Ringneck Rye. Silver Tree is a family owned and operated distillery based in Paxton, Illinois. Brothers Clayton, Dallas, and Will Glazik distill spirits using grain grown on their own farms. This year they released (and quickly sold out!) 100% Illinois whiskey, aged in barrels from oak trees grown in Illinois and distilled with grain from Illinois farms. You won’t want to miss the taste and quality of their spirits.
Stop in for a drink between 10am and 1pm on Saturday, December 16th.
- Live Music: Enjoy live music by the local band Terraign.
- Food & Garden Perpetual Calendars: We will be releasing our new Food & Garden Perpetual Calendar at the event! Donations of $25+ will receive a beautiful card set to use as you track your garden’s progress and farmers markets finds from year to year.
- Tufting Workshop: High Fiber Rugs is a hosting FREE tufting workshop during the event, with demonstrations every half hour with an opportunity to try the tufting machine. You’ll also have the chance to contribute to the Community Rug Mural. Wait your turn to choose a color of yarn and fill in a section of the mural (5 minutes/person).
Proceeds from drink sales benefit The Land Connection’s work providing education and resources to farmers, food businesses, and eaters.
We hope to see you there!
