Ah, the holidays. Chestnuts, crackling fireplaces, big meals and tasty treats with family and friends. And even though this year was a tad unusual (kids playing outside in the sun instead of rolling out snow angels, the feeling of the holiday season is always in the air.But with that feeling comes the anticipation of what follows immediately afterwards – a brand new year.

And the one of the most exciting prospects of this new year for The Land Connection, is planning for the 2016 season of the Downtown Champaign Market! The inaugural year was a great success, even with only a few weeks preparation. This year, we are looking forward to making the market, bigger, better, and even more fun for the community, vendors, and surrounding downtown businesses. That means more events like Bastille Day, more contests like the Ugly Produce Beauty Contest, and more family friendly activities.

So we are starting to plan early and get the ball rolling. And we could use your help and opinions to make this season great.
