Apple Cheese Sliders

Ingredients

  • 2 apples sliced
  • 1 shallot sliced very thin
  • 4 slices of your favorite cheese (brie or a sharp cheddar are nice)
  • a few sprigs of fresh thyme
  • 6 slices of baguette, or three rolls (any bread will do - use your favorite)
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  • Heat butter and thyme in a pan over medium/high heat
  • Cook apples and shallots in butter just until soft
  • While apples and shallots are cooking, toast the bread
  • When the apples, shallots, and bread are ready, add the slices of cheese to the hot pan for about 20 seconds
  • Pile the apples and shallots onto the bread, and top with the cheese
  • Serve and enjoy immediately!
