Farm Food Safety Plan Writing Workshops

Food safety on the farm is incredibly important, especially since what happens on the farm can have effects throughout the entire value chain. With the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) requiring all fresh produce farmers to attend a Grower Training Course, many farmers feel overwhelmed with the task of managing food safety on their farms. Writing a food safety plan for your farm can help you organize and manage the task of complying with the law and managing your food safety risks. In this workshop, we will provide you with a template for crafting a food safety plan for your farm, walk you through the process of developing your plan, and provide you with access to experts who can answer your burning questions about managing food safety.

SUPPORT AVAILABLE AFTER THE TRAINING

Following completion of the Farm Food Safety Plan Writing Workshop, participants will be eligible to have their farm food safety plan reviewed by qualified farm food safety experts. Participants interested in obtaining a third party certification, such as GAP (Good Agricultural Practices), will be eligible to enroll in a matched savings account to reduce the cost of an on-farm audit and associated certification expenses.

Cancellations made up until two weeks prior to the event will receive a full refund minus a $5 processing fee
Cancellations made up until one week prior to the event will receive a 50% refund
Cancellations made the week of the event are not eligible for a refund
