Workplace Giving
The Land Connection is a member of EarthShare. If you participate in a workplace giving campaign, look for ESI and you can designate TLC to receive your contributions. Automatic payroll deductions are also available through Benevity.
Your workplace may also offer a donation match program. Search by company here or contact your human resources department.
Stock Donations
If you own stocks or mutual funds that have appreciated in price since you purchased them, consider using that asset for your charitable giving. You may be entitled to an income tax deduction for the full market value of donated securities that you have owned more than one year and you may avoid the capital gains tax on the appreciated value.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
70½ or older? It’s simple to make an “IRA rollover” gift to charitable organizations like The Land Connection. The amount you transfer is not added to your taxable income and will count towards your mandatory distribution if you have attained the age when required distributions begin.

Donor Advised Funds
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a giving account established at a public charity. It allows donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from the fund over time. Donors can contribute to the fund as frequently as they like, and then recommend grants to their favorite charitable organizations whenever it makes sense for them.
